Information and care advice

Linen
Our printed linen textiles are best suited for home furnishings such as decorative cushions and curtains that are not exposed to very hard wear. The linen is durable but digitally printed colour pigments can react to different conditions, such as washing or sunlight. Especially the darker ground colours. To take care of your linen textiles in the best way, we recommend that you read more here .
Linen is a natural material and small variations in color and texture may occur and are not a material defect. If you want to be absolutely sure that the fabric and colors meet your expectations, we recommend that you first order a fabric sample. The easiest way to do this is to send us an email at info@madeleinewideland.com and write which patterns you want, and of course your name and address, and we will send it as soon as possible.
Cotton-linen
Our printed cotton-linen fabrics work great for interior design, kitchen textiles and most other things. With a mix of 90% cotton and 10% linen, it is a strong and durable fabric but also soft and with a nice luster. To take care of your cotton-linen textile in the best way, we recommend that you wash in the shoe/delicate wash at 40 degrees in an environmentally friendly detergent without bleach. Hang dry and iron while the fabric is damp.
Production
All our patterns and textiles are designed by Madeleine Wideland in our studio in Södertälje. The linen fabrics are printed at Tobex in Borås. All pigments are water-based and certified according to Öko-tex Standard 100, product class 1. The cotton linen fabrics are printed at Elobina in Skåne.
